I haven't seen the latest episode. Is there any noticeable drop in quality?

Not at all from what I could see.
The worst part; episode 6 is the start of a new story arc and it's pretty suspenseful.

Not surprised. A couple of faces looked off to me in Ep 4.

It's one thing to delay the episode a week, but this being delayed almost a full month is a sign something went very wrong with the production imo. Curious what knock on effects it might have too since shows that bleed that much into the the following anime season often run into other issues.

Wow, it'd be one thing if it was delayed for a week or two but three weeks means it must be pretty bad. Which is even more surreal since the studio managed to consistently deliver a 2-cour anime last season with Summer Pockets.
The tragic irony being they just started an arc and it's the arc where the series apparently really comes into its own quality-wise.
And this is also supposed to be a split-cour season...

Well this is depressing because to me this is best new series of the season. I wonder how this will affect the second cour.

Summer Pockets probably wasn't as much of an issue since they had the whole studio working on it and it had already been "in production" since 2021.
Feel currently has 2 shows airing this season. They most likely didn't have enough time to prepare and the staff is most split into two, making it a little tougher to finish 2, 12 episode projects as opposed to a single 24 episode one. Additionally, the adpatations of Chitose was announced last year August and Kyuuketsuki-chan in Febuary of this year.
Summer pockets must have really taken up a lot of their time.

With the bad knocks the industry has been getting driving their animators and staff to near-slavery work conditions, I consider this very good news. Please stay healthy, take care of your mental health. Do not compromise your lives for the sake of the anime. You are the priority.
