Kinda wondering how much longer they're gonna keep the name now that Super Sentai (and therefore Power Rangers) is dead. I mean, there's still plenty of tokusatsu series but the more years go on the more "Power Morphicon" is gonna get outdated.

I can't answer if they will change the name, or keep the name as it is. But regarding Power Rangers without the Super Sentai footages/source. I believe I pointed this out last year.

On another thread, I wrote:
I was told the future and upcoming Power Rangers may not be based or even used suits nor any footages from Super Sentai shows. So this means we could be seeing a Power Rangers show that will not be based on any Super Sentai. And given that we're living in an age where foreign-language entertainment like K-dramas, or any foreign-language TV miniseries are now being simulcast or made available in the US on streaming sites like Netflix, etc... I think the Super Sentai footage being used on Power Rangers has lost it's mystic and exoticness it once had back then. The fact that Discotek and Shout Factory are picking up tokusatsu shows for US home video release, there's no need for Power Rangers to use Super Sentai footage nor the suits because of Power Rangers fans are now having one way or another having access to Super Sentai.

I hope that helps. So it's possible that we could still have Power Rangers but without using any stock footages from any Japanese-based sources.
