DDS is my favorite Megaten spinoff, and the two are some of my top Megaten games in general, so I really want to play this one, but its been around a decade since I last played the duology. So I def feel like I should revisit those first 😅.
I hope we eventually get SMT IF: Hazama’s Story! That’s def the one I’m most interested in!!!

I hope we get a re-release of Xenosaga. The game is a bit underrated (except the 2nd game, it deserves all the fire it takes for removing shops from the game).
And i hope they re-rate the game with the Japanese cutscenes as JRPGs have a older base now and a M-rating problem wont hurt the game much.

Digital Devil Saga was a great duology and I'm glad to see it made available finally outside Emulation.

Sadly I wouldn't be surprised if they do what Nintendo did with Xenoblade X, and many other remasters of games and use the censored western release as the basis for the game even in Japan so they can have just 1 global version to focus on for much less effort. It's more likely Japan will get the edited scenes this time around and perhaps even more given how much stricter ESRB/CERO is these days especially when it comes to things like underwear shots and swimsuit costumes.

I somehow still have hope that some day we will get remasters for the Digital Devil Saga games. As for Xenosaga...no, actually all my hope has been lost for those.

Removing shops was far from that game's only problem…

It's not necessarily a question of effort, but the available source code; with the director of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles confirming that the original source code for that game was overwritten for overseas releases, the same thing likely happened to Xenoblade X and Tokyo Mirage Sessions (neither of which even had changes worth making a fuss over, let's be real), and almost certainly was the case with the Xenosaga games as well. And that's before getting into whether that code is still around.
Plus, the changes in the first and second games for Albedo's scenes are actually pretty well-liked by a decent chunk of fans, and I'm inclined to agree that the scene in the NA version of Episode I is an improvement on how exactly he makes himself headless. Episode III is the only one where the changes are a problem.
And although your concerns are probably more unfounded than you think (I would strongly advise anyone who whines about lessened fanservice be ignored), fewer MOMO pantyshots would be an improvement, and was one of the few good points of Episode II.

An entire level got rewritten and redesigned to match the weird puritan angle infesting the Tokyo Mirage Sessions localization in addition to multiple character stories. Not to mention all the ridiculous anti-sex puritan nonsense of having to cover up bare shoulders - something many women can attest to us having been told or nudged to do so many times in our life. If you agree with all the puritanical changes then fine but let's not try to trivialize or downplay them, okay?

Describing the changes as 'puritan' when the game still has notable fanservice suggests you're not in any position to try talking down to anyone.
