Same, that and the rest of the specials/movies and maybe up to Data Squad/Savers and Fusion/Xros Wars.

Also, cool for the other titles to get a Blu-Ray release, especially Skyrider, and no Skyrider...you're not Amazon, lol.

Here's hoping that whatever they got to annouce at Otakon this year is good.

Man, can't lie, quite happy about the subbed Tamers coming later, especially as it increases the chances of Frontier. Being able to maybe someday own the first four series both dubbed AND subbed is awesome. Fingers crossed!

Discotek going above and beyond here, Skyrider doesn't even have a Japanese blu-ray

In my own opinion, I'd be interested in purchasing to re-watch the English dub. I also believe that this should have been a Complete DIGIMON Seasons DVD project, which is long overdue. Also, several seasons of DIGIMON need English dubs prioritized, speaking as someone whose first language is English. The U.S. played a major role in the success of DIGIMON but we haven't seen a television dub in 13 years. I also want dubbed music because America is the best at groovy DIGIMON tunes!!

Apparently Skyrider & Super-1 had been streaming in HD in Japan and they have been pretty good at getting some of those if there's a HD source. See Toei's Little Mermaid, based off a 4k remaster which aired on Toei Channel a few years back and didn't get a Japanese Blu-ray.

Tamers has been the season I've been wanting the most since Discotek started releasing Digimon on BD. I already have the old Cinedigm DVD set but I'm glad to see the dub getting a nice HD release and I'm especially interested in the sub DVDs.

Discotek doesn't do any DVDs any more as they abandoned the format several years back and only releases BD. But also all of the Digimon dub has already been released on DVD back in the 2010s through Cinedigm who also released Adventure through Frontier on DVD in a single set.

^With Data Squad released afterwards since that was a separate license made through Saban Brands who got the series back at the time.

Hi. I wasn't speaking of Discotek. I'm wishing for a Complete DIGIMON Seasons (all of them) set that includes Data Squad, Xros Wars, Appli Monsters, Adventure 2020's, etc. That is what I was talking about. Someone with the drive (and license) to make this happen. I don't know why this franchise looks so disheveled as it pertains to release schedules. It is one of the most important anime properties of all time. Treat DIGIMON like a pet. Give it all it needs. Either go big or go home, I say.

There's lots of reasons for this:

1. Even by Japan's standards, Toei is well known for being extremely hard to work with and extremely strict when it comes to anyone licensing their properties. Anything Discotek wants to do with the franchise has to get their approval first. They literally cannot do anything otherwise lest they be hit with either lawsuits or crackdowns.
2. It'd be impossible to make a whole collection containing several 50-60 episode series. It'd cost way too much money when you factor in stuff like production costs, licensing fees, and so on. Plus, with the early seasons having been edited to do things like cut scenes or change whole soundtracks, there would have to be extra discs with just the subs and dubs on them, making the undertaking even more arduous.
3. Licensing contracts expire. If they tried to wait until they had the licenses to every single series in the franchise to release a whole package, depending on how long the contract lasts, they wouldn't be able to put anything out within their allotted window of time. That is literally why AnimEigo is choosing to release Vampire Princess Miyu in September without package art, because they've already been waiting for approvals for package art for over a year with no progress, and with the license due to expire next year, they figured it'd be better not to keep the fans waiting and put it out regardless rather than scrap the project entirely.

So no, a whole collection of every single Digimon season in one set will never happen, because it would literally be enough to make Discotek go bankrupt. Be happy that they're putting in the work to give us high quality releases of Digimon media at all. You know Crunchyroll wouldn't bother.

No one is going to pay a billion dollars to own all of Digimon. This is literally never going to happen with any show ever.

I agree with you about 90% of your statement, only the last statement. I've seen big collections before, like the "Power Rangers: Legacy - The First 20 Seasons". But I don't see why digimon would do something like this, even bigger franchises like Pokemon haven't done something like this.

Another problem is, the bigger the package, the bigger the price. The anime community is not always big on shelling out money, especially with so much pirating running about. That creates a even bigger risk for a company to do big collections like that. Breaking it up in smaller pieces helps the wallets.

Speaking for myself, that's a yes. As a fan of Digimon for 27 years, I would wholeheartedly be willing to buy the whole collection. I would still like to see this done. That is just my opinion. Thank you for your own. It is appreciated. Digimon forever!!

You can go the Escaflowne route then, and pitch a crowdfunding to Discotek. If enough fans are willing to pay for it, then they will definitely do it. I'm rooting for you.
