Maybe I am not looking hard enough but I saw a book a while back where it was all about the weapons, arm slaves suits, and tactical gear broken down and shown in an exploded view from Ghost in the Shell. It was a very technical book maybe it was another anime book I saw.

Basically, do you guys know which book I am talking about? And can you tell me where I can get it? I looked on amazon but did not see it.

Thanks in advance. Wink

[EDIT: More of a retail question, so I'm moving it there. -TK]

You might be thinking of one of the Appleseed art/info books that was released a while back. One was Hypernotes and I can't remember for the life of me what the other was called - it might just have been 'Appleseed Databook' or something like that, and I'm almost positive it was the one with the majority of the notes on weapons and landmates and what have you.

Unfortunately I don't think either are still in print. Dark Horse has since released the Appleseed I.D. book, which is sort of a composite of the two, but it's more about the characters and less about the weapons and mecha, so it's probably not what you're looking for. I would suggest the Amazon marketplace or eBay for Hypernotes and the other book, if those are indeed what you're in search of.

Sure it wasn't the Intron Depot series artbooks by Ghost in the Shell creator Shirow Masamune?

If so, these books are getting pretty hard to find.

Edit:
Murasakisuishou:

Actually DH recently released both the Hypernotes and the ID book.

The Databook was the old OOP version which was basically both of those put together.(edit 2: Actually you might be right, I think I am thinking of the UK release, however HN and ID were recently released, and both of them have data in them.)

Still chances are he's thinking of Intron.
