I'm going but, I'm a little skittish of this being so "general animation" all of a sudden... Not that the list of guests are bad, I actually LOVE all those actors... But I was kinda hoping for SOMEONE from an anime company being there, otherwise, it's not the same... :\ I mean... Funimation's a sponsor, right? Aren't they going to have some people there (especially someone I can question about Galaxy Railways 2)? And actor's aside, the rest of the guests are just... Well, let's just say they land out side my general envelope of interest... Well, accept for the Super Smash Bros. people and Select Start, anyway. ^^;

Hi Red Leader,
Sorry to hear that your skittish... we just had someone down from Funimation for our June show... and I wanted to do something a little out of the ordinary this time around with the guest list We still have the same anime programming as always (actually a little more this time)... but I thought it would be cool to use our guest budget to bring in some real heavy hitting voice and industry talent for this show. One of the things I try to do with the show is to mix it up.. and bring in new and interesting guests each show... and not a lot of the same guests over and over again. Don't worry about us forgetting about anime... i'm already talking with some great anime guests for next year (i'm starting early for once). The main reason for the shift is to that we've never been just an anime show... but a general animation event... the name change just reflects what we've always been. Hopefully you'll have a great time... and enjoy some of the phenomenal guests we've lined up... including our latest addition (just confirmed yesterday) David X. Cohen : Co-Creator, Producer and Head Writer of Futurama (previously producer and writer of The Simpsons) Thanks, mike |
