Those disgustingly small hands... BTW it's a bit too much for a plastic car, but i'm sure many guy will buy it since it's a succesfull franchise. Confused

Aside from the colour, I really wonder how much it differs from models of London taxis that are already available.

The position and shape of the wing mirrors suggest that this model pre-dates the introduction of the Carbodies and LTI variants, i.e., that it is one of Austin's own FX4 vehicles. The maroon bodywork with matching wheel trim seems unusual for an older specimen, such that I have reason to believe that the car depicted is non-standard or even fictional.

I still await the day when KyoAni'll stick Stephen Fry in one of their anime.

Oh I beg to differ. that's a Manganese Bronze, aka "The london Taxi Company"(name of company what builds them) FX1, or LTI Fairway, painted red, but it's still known as a "London Black Cab" even if it was painted white and not in London. Wink That's an old model, though great in the city, couldn't get out of it's own way on the motorways. It's been replaced by the TX1, and TXII now, much more sleek and aerodynamic with power and gear ratios to make it a right motorway cruser when it has to be. Word is they are actively looking at a hybred in the near furure. Now what would really make that taxi worth a look is iff it was covered with K-On all over it like some other "black cabs" have for other ads. I believe that picture is the plastic model which would make it look a little odd, but not as odd as the deformed hands on Yui there. What's that all about?

I suppose the taxi is like the film's main mecha?
As for the hands, it not that they are so small, it that she's pulled the cuffs of her cardigan down over them. Last Tuesday, a cold wet day, everyone, including me, looked like that on the way to work. Should have dug some gloves out of the drawer.
