Just a clarification -- that room only holds about 2700 people, so 5000 is inaccurate. I will attest to a VERY full room for their concert (in fact both our Hall D shows pulled in a full house), but let's not exaggerate!

They were very cool dudes...and had the best English of any Japanese guest at a US convention ever I bet. Not surprised, since the both vocalists have spent significant amounts of time in the United States before.
I kinda wish I didn't miss their panel...argh. |

This press release makes it sound like they dont speak english. But, they (MICRO and KURO) grew up in the US. So of course they have good english. I can always understand it in their songs atleast. I bet talking to them was pretty much like talking to anyone who speaks english. (Then again, with all the time they spend in Japan speaking Japanese so who knows)
Anyway, if I had attended Otakon seeing them would have been on the TOP of my list. They are my second favorite group next to the Asian Kung-Fu Generation. I even have some of their singles and albums. Oh well, maybe I can catch them next time they are over. |

Gah, I wish I could've gone! x.x HMKU is one of my favorite bands (tied with Coheed and Cambria), and I've been begging A-Cen for years now to try and get them to come to the con. Hopefully next year!
