I already saw that pic--it was in Anime Insider #33 on page 73. According to the article, it won't be out in Japan until 2007.

Personally I am quite ecstatic that John Woo is producing an anime movie. Wasn't there another anime production he was involved with previously?

I will definetly be there for that one. I hope the new movie is like the OVA. Because the story I thought was much better, and not only that there is a real villlian in that movie that make you hate their guts. But it really doesn't matter to me, I'll be there opening night just like I was with the first movie.

Can't really tell much from the image. Is that just concept art or is an actual still footage?
It'd be interesting to see whether they stick with the Cel-shaded character designs or go with more photo-realistic designs. About the 2007 release date... I thought it usually took at least 2 years to produce a decent CG feature length animation. |

Oh right, right! Yeah, gotta love the cases! I still have to pick up the first one. Unfortunately, DDD.com stopped stocking the LE and REG Ed. So of course I'll have to get it at 'Amazon.com'.

They've been working on it since shortly after the first movie came out in 2004. John Woo came in at least a year ago, too. |
