Streaming before the official release date did not expect that. Then again I got my copy like 2 or 3 weeks ago so that date means very little.

They've gotta try to be competitive, especially considering the dub's already made its way to pirate sites.

You can fight illegal websites all you want. Try to outsmart them and waste your time. People who pay for streaming services or buy the release will remain paying or buying those who watch it illegal keep watching it illegal.

Since im from the Netherlands(Europe) where anime isnt big at all I've to resort to watch it on illegal websites till i can import it from the UK or Aussie when they releaed it. I seriously hate licenses bullshit.

Ok, so am I missing out on anything if I cancel Crunchyroll and switch to HDive? (I also have Funimation and Anime Strike). I'm really only interested in dubs since I only watch anime while multi-tasking these days!

That depends on what series I feel you are missing out on. I use VRV.com where I can link my Funi and CR accounts. If you do this but cancel the Funi and CR accounts, you can watch Funi and CR shows on VRV. However, sometimes an anime episode on Funimation.com will be uploaded before it is put on its VRV page.

For their dubs, I don't get why have their entire series uploaded and others are being released in weekly parts. For example, "Chivalry of a Failed Knight" doesn't have all 12 dub episodes uploaded yet but "When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace" does. Then again, the site just launched less than 3 weeks ago. Still, it would be nice if they had a checklist of all the dubs series that were completely and the series that they are still uploading.

Will it the uncensored version (with boobs) or the TV version?

Sentai's dubs are generally done to the uncensored home video version, so it's fairly safe to assume this is the case.

Same (in my case I preordered the set months in advance), but this is still pretty cool.

All of Funi and AoA's subbed catalog. I'd suggest canceling both Funi and CR, doing the VRV combo which is cheaper than having both, and getting HIDIVE, should be ish the same amount what you spend now.

I really like Funimation's app - what's VRV? I was planning on just keeping Funimation and trying HIDIVE. I'm kind of suspicious of what they mean about it not always being $3.99 a month ... is it suddenly going to shoot up to $12/month or something?

Oh I looked up VRV and that looks like an interesting option ... except it seems like you don't get Crunchyroll premium unless you are already a member?

No you get everything if you do their package, and then you just have to link the account to Crunchyroll in settings to get CR premium.

I don't think they would price it that highly. I'm guessing the final price will be comparable to TAN, CR, and others, probably in the $5-7 range.
