I have the first 2 anime releases from the late 90's early 2000's. Wasn't great, but wasn't all that bad either.

Additional content.. or a reboot?

Reboot. The first ep changes things up from the earlier release, that's for sure

It's a reboot/remake, so why only have it be 14 epi.? Budget and fear of it being a flop aside, with all the time that has passed, they could easily make it 50+ epi.

I enjoyed the original and have both seasons but I'll be sorely disappointed if they don't bring back David Matranga for the dub.

Most anime these days seem to be following the formula of doing cours at a time then doing a second cour 6-12 months later. Gives them a chance to test the waters, and also stops things from becoming stale
