Reading the start: “Those reviews complaining the main character is too villainous were overblown. He’s an orcish antihero, what did they expect?”
Reading further: “OK they were right.”
I liked the initial setup (particularly before he becomes rapidly overpowered), but it became much too repulsive for me while continuing to treat the protagonist as a magnificent author-insert. Also annoying that he continually eats everything and everyone to gain their [Bark] and [Roll Over] skills or whatever, but then when he comes across the remains of a hyper-powerful ancient sorcerer he decides not to eat them out of spontaneous and extremely temporary respect for the dead.
