Mayonaka Punching above it's weight! Happy to see I'm not the only one who's warming up to that one. It honestly wasn't on my radar at all coming into this season, but it's been earning my attention.

Both Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! and Mayonaka Punch had exceptional episode 4s to earn their top spots this week. Makeine already had one of the best stories among this season's new anime and capped off its opening arc with writing that's worthy of season finales. MayoPan had been cruising along on comedy and vampire gags but surprised viewers with an episode that left an emotional impact.
Oshi no Ko episode 16 delivered a strong follow-up to the tonal shift in episode 15. Although it was upstaged in the weekly rankings, it seized the top spot in cumulative rankings based on consistent quality over several episodes.
