What random news to wake up to. I never watched it myself, but I remember when Toonami aired it and a group of people called it a Saint Seiya ripoff.

Did this ever get an uncut dub, or was the dub that aired on Cartoon Network the only one?

Well, Samurai Troopers really needed a reboot, not a sequel, but I am interested, nevertheless.

Definitely wasn't expecting Sunrise to bring this one back. Hopefully they'll give the main characters actual personalities this time around.

I don't think anyone had this on their BINGO card as much as they wanted to put it on it. Very happy for the fans!

I did not expect this, much less an animated teaser. But it was successful back in the day (probably the most successful of that genre of “Saint Seiya” in the US, far more than Seiya itself) and had a whole Toonami run.

I’m betting Netflix bound unless Prime Video wants to have this next to that Steven Universe spinoff.

Suits look good, would prefer character designs closer to the originals, though.

Same, feel like this design for the main character is a bit out there than what I was expecting from the other series.

Really thought they would go with a reboot than sequel, so nice surprise. Will see what they do. Interested in timeline, returning characters, etc. to see how much of a sequel it can be.

Oh wow! I love the original (aside from the repetitive scenes). Looking forward to the sequel! Hopefully they have a character similar to Lady Kayura!

Ever since last year Sunrise and Tatsunoko made an April Fools joke about a crossover between Samurai Troopers and Shulato I wondered if either company would try to revive their respective series.

Speaking about Saint Seiya, I find it funny that in Samurai Troopers' Latin American Spanish all of the main characters, except Shin, are voiced by VA who worked in Saint Seiya, Ryo is Wolf Nachi and Lionet Ban, Seiji is Gemini Saga and Unicorn Jabu, Hashiba is Dragon Shiryu and Shu Rei is Phoenix Ikki. Most of the rest of the cast also had roles in Seiya. Now, regarding Shulato, that series is different because it was dubbed into LA Spanish in Venezuela, while Seiya and Samurai were dubbed in Mexico City. I wonder if this new Samurai Troopers series will be dubbed in Mexico, but that depends on who gets thee rights, for example, the original Samurai X anime was dubbed in Colombia and the reboot is being dubbed in Cuernavaca, Mexico, and the recent Yaiba: Samurai Legend anime is going to be dubbed in Argentina while the 90s version was dubbed in Mexico City.

Well, I was initially thinking "What? WHAT?! WHAAAAAT?!" in a gleefully surprised tone, but then I got to the trailer. So, like.... is this a completely recasting/renaming and retelling of the original, or are these kids supposed to be related to the original Troopers?

Either way, I think I'm disappointed. I dunno yet.

That's the first I've ever heard that, because when Saint Seiya debuted on CN in 2003 as (DiC's) Knights of the Zodiac it was called a "Ronin Warriors knock-off" by many, since RW came out in English first... twice, at that!

Okay, never expected this. Now I have that "The boys are back in town" tagline from the Toonami promos stuck in my head

Well this is one of the franchises that I was expecting to get a reboot, but this is fine, I guess.

I’m curious but having seen the original series and not having any negative remarks about it. What would a reboot improve upon (besides dated animation & character designs)?
