Both Pokopia and Resident Evil 9 are game key cards if I'm not mistaken so I think this puts to bed any myth that game key cards are being rejected by gamers. It just turns out ports of 6 year old games sold at full price just don't sell on the Switch 2.

You're talking about Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade aren't you? Well, the Switch port was going to be a tough sell, at least in Japan, I think FFVIIRI's Switch 2 port has actually sold quite decently globally, all things considered. Though I do believe that Capcom has done a somewhat better job at promoting the RE series on the Switch, at least they ported some "modern" (i.e. HD) RE to the Switch 2 before Requiem's release, none of the "modern/HD" FF games (the XIII trilogy, XIV and XV) are available on Nintendo. And obviously a brand new game is going to sell better than old port, the same happened with Dragon Quest VII Reimagined. And while technically the RE Requiem's Switch 2 sales are much lower compared the PS5 version, it seems Capcom didn't actually print a lot of copies (despite being a Key Card Game), so there's actually not a lot of stock. Speaking of Key Cards, for graphically intensive games like FFVIIR and RE Requiem, I can get why they're released on Key Cards, but I don't know why Pokopia isn't on a regular Game Card. |

I've always viewed Nintendo consoles as their own thing. I play Nintendo games on them since they never come out elsewhere. But everything else comes out on PC so I can get those there.

It’s not the key cards that are the problem - it’s the pricing and the lack of effort in some of these ports. |
