Apparently this specific branch under Bandai-Namco also worked on Splatoon 3 and other Nintendo franchises, so this sounds more like Nintendo adding to its support bench

Nintendo and Namco Bandai seem to get along well (business wise) considering how much they've worked together (Smash Bros, Kirby Air Riders and [i]early[/i] Metroid Prime 4 off the top of my head). I can get behind acquisitions like this as long as it doesn't happen often.
