there's a pretty big question i have with this. i'm happy this game is coming to the switch, but i'm confused as to why idea factory themselves aren't publishing it (especially since we've gotten the re;birth trilogy on ps4, although that was initially available over here iirc on pc and psvita) maybe this is one of those instances similar to freedom wars remastered or everybody's golf hot shots where idea factory just licensed the ip to another company, to make a game. i'd believe that.

To answer your question, PilotPayback, lets just say NoA/NoE stances on anime games with fanservice on them have changed during the later half of the Switch's lifespan and into the Switch 2's lifespan as well. Before, they did nothing and left it alone and Sony "policies" told companies to change the content. Now, its the complete opposite. (Also, the possible reason why IFI can't publish it themselves is due to the content changes/policies that I mentioned above, so they have to go with a publisher that's used to stuff like this, with EastAsiaSoft, and they too were well aware of the eventual changes/stance on NoA/NoE's content policy.)
This also what led to the recent cancellation of the US release of the Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack due to these very same issues. Meanwhile, the E-shop has all these games with the "H" name on it and its all AI-Generated slop and those are still kept in. Who at Nintendo is actually approving these?
And yes, while I get that Noire was once originally on Vita, its now on a competitors platform (Nintendo), funny how that works. (Even though it was already ported to PC/Steam.)

oh...um...i do kinda remember nintendo pushing back against something similar with death end re;quest code Z (as much as i really didn't like that game), but i didn't really know this situation was because of that...kinda feels like the situation is as bad as steam's random policies surrounding games like angelic chaos and i believe brown dust 2 went through something similar recently where the steam version was cancelled...
now it makes a little more sense as to why they did this...
