Hey I was just about the Witch Hunter Robin Complete Collection boxset. Is it a thinpack or a digpack? or a premium collection? the "Complete Collection" wording can be confusing sometimes...[/url]

That specific link is for the Boxset, that has the dvds as they came with the initial release, although for that price you should note that there is a thin-pack that has everything in it for $40. So I would go with the thin-pack if you can get it, but there have been some talk on Anime Legends DVD being strangely encoded. |

i regularly shop rightstuf, and know what the thinpacks on for like 30$.... but think packs just arnt my thing: their kind of a last result for me (ADV title titles that singles are OOP and next to impossible to get complete)
thanks for the help. I see you on here a lot and wanted to thank you for contributing so much to the forums (not that my thanks means anything) |

The "Anime Legends" version is a digipak, not a thinpak. It comes in an outer slipcover that is open on the top and bottom. The inside pack, which slides out of the slipcover, folds out flat with 6 sections (one for each disk). It's not as nice as that super premium boxset you linked to, but I like it a lot more than the brick paks Bandai usually puts their "Anime Legends" titles into.
While the reverse sides of the panels with the discs have some artwork on them, you don't get any inserts or anything like that. Also, the cardboard is a little on the flimsy side, so you would want to be careful taking the discs out because I think it would be easy to bend or possibly even tear the slipcover if you are not. |

The Anime Legends digipack is just a re-packaging of a different collection. If you look at it you'll see it claims to include the pin set. When I bought mine I noticed they were starting to make bricks of it which is the only reason I went ahead a grabbed the last digipack one my Best Buy had. |

Haha! I never noticed that, but I'm looking at it right now, and sure enough it does say it includes the pin set. Way to not put too much effort into the new packaging design there, Bandai. I didn't realize they were putting out brick paks for WHR now too. I didn't pay that much attention when I bought my copy online as I was more interested in getting the show than in how it was packaged, but the digipak showing up was a nice surprise when I guess I was assuming it would be in a brick like all the other Anime Legends titles I have. Too bad they decided to brickify this series too. |

The embarrassing part is that I probably spent some time looking for the pin set I usually don't care about packaging that much when it comes to buying anime because, like you said, I care more about getting the show. But the WHR brick is... ugly. http://www.bandai-ent.com/products/product_details.cfm?id=619 |
