for those of you who don't know, Memories is a series of short stories done by Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira). now that the anime(s) have been released stateside, does anyone know if there is any plans to release a collection of the short stories? it would also be cool if they could finish off Otomo's other manga, The Legend of Mother Sarah (it is still going in Japan i believe, but only a little of it was published here). since Steamboy is looking to be a big event, hopefully it will spark inough interest in Otomo's work to get these published here

That'd be nice. I'd also like to see some of his pre-Domu comics over here (such as Goodbye Japan). Not that it'd ever happen, of course. His work is mature, intelligent, and would look terrible shrunk down to Tokyopop-size. Any company that could afford the liscensing costs wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

Hell, I'm still waiting for them to bring back his Kaba artbook. Though it's not surprising why his shoujo will never be released here. (*cough* Frumpy chicks *cough*)
