Him and Brad Swaille as Amuro really made Gundam feel alive. Their back and forth near the end of Chars counterattack was not only really well translated, it was a really good moment for 10 year old me to realize war was not as fun as the politicians liked to make it sound. Maybe I should have got that message sooner, but Char's counterattack is still one of my favorite anime movies.

He was a great Char Aznable. I was so upset that Ocean went with Blue Water for the Zeta dub and he didn’t return. I do believe he also played Walter von Schönkopf in Ocean’s test dub of LoGH.

The best english voice actor for Char. He just nailed it. Love that he reprised his role in so many of the games too. Rest in peace.

RIP, I really liked the way he voiced/portrayed Char for the English dub of MS Gundam. He'll be missed.

The TRUE English Char as far as I’m concerned. Steve Blum was an interesting choice, but Michel truly brought this character to life with a cool, regal sound with a deliciously wicked demeanor that’s easily the standout performance in Ocean’s Gundam dub. Tom and Keith are fine, but Michael just set the bar really high. Gone way too soon.

Forgive me for not being here because of Gundam, I actually know him more for Rodger Baxter in Littlest Pet Shop (2012) than anything, But I loved his role in Galaxy Angel as Commander Volcott O. Huey. He was a great voice actor, and he will surely be missed. RIP.

He was one of my favorite underutilized Vancouver actors when I heard him as Goshinki in Inuyasha. I'd only recently rewatched the original Mobile Suit Gundam dub and thought he did an awesome job as Char. It is sad that I'll never get to hear him in that role again. RIP...
Edit: For the longest time, had Vancouver ever got to dubbing the DBZ movies with Cooler, I fantasized that Michael would've made that role proud. It's just a little CBFC I had in my mind. Oh, well... |

I knew him first and foremost from Galaxy Angel as well. Learning he was Char (I didn't know who the various VVA's were when first getting into the hobby) later cemented my appreciation for his talent. He will be greatly missed. |
