Saiyuki Kageki-den -God Child- Stage Play Actors Get in Character

Kazuya Minekura's Into the West-inspired manga series Saiyuki will get a new musical stage play adaptation on May 2-7. Saiyuki Kageki-den -God Child- will open during the Golden Week holiday in Shinjuku. The official Twitter account recently posted photos of the cast in costume.
The cast includes:
Hiroki Suzuki as Genjo Sanzo
Taizo Shiina as Son Goku
Taiyō Ayukawa as Sha Gojo
Yūki Fujiwara as Cho Hakkai
Other cast includes:
Mitsuru Karahashi as Dr. Ni Jianyi
Ryō Hirano as Kami-sama
Mitsu Murata as Ginkaku

Saiyuki was last adapted into a stage play in 2009. Minekura is currently serializing Saiyuki Reload Blast in Ichijinsha's Zero Sum Ward but it is on hiatus due to Minekura's health.
