Doraemon & Hello Kitty Collaboration Promises 320 Different Products

Two of Japan's most famous cats are finally getting together for an equally huge merchandise campaign. Sanrio's Hello Kitty and Fujiko F. Fujio's Doraemon will work with 50 different companies to create 320 different products featuring the characters. The items will be geared towards older teens and adult fans and will start rolling out next month.
A pre-sale will be held from August 12-25 at the "Doraemon meets Hello Kitty at Takashimaya" pop-up shop within in the Takashimaya department store in Tokyo. Products will also be sold in department stores, Sanrio stores, and online.
Goods span from T-shirts and coffee cups to stationary and bags.
Hello Kitty is well known for her large swath of collaborations. Her upcoming goods include Monogatari Series goods at 7-Eleven, the Tales of game series, and Love Live! She's also touring North America in a series of live shows and has an upcoming episode on Food Network's Cake Wars.
