Birdy the Mighty Decode Gets Second Season in January

Ongoing television series based on Masami Yuuki's action manga
The staffers of the Birdy the Mighty: Decode anime series have revealed at Comic Market and their official blog that a second season has been green-lit for broadcast. The new season will start in January of 2009. Before the current television series, Masami Yuuki's original manga was also adapted into a 1996 video series. The story revolves around a space police officer named Birdy who accidentally kills an Earth boy, so she shares her body with his spirit so he can continue living his life. However, when duty calls on this planet or elsewhere, Birdy reverts their shared body back to her form and takes over.
