Magazine Posts Correction on Gundam Unicorn's Release
posted on by Egan Loo
The Japanese publisher Kadokawa has posted a correction for an article that mentioned the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn anime project in Odaiba Walker magazine on July 17. The "Sunrise-Shū" article said that next month's Gundam Big Expo convention will "reveal the latest information on Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, the new television series which will start this winter." According to Kadokawa, the corrected sentence should have said that the convention will "reveal the latest information on Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, which has an anime adaptation announced for this winter."
The upcoming anime adapts Harutoshi Fukui's Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn novels, which are set in the same Universal Century (UC) timeline as the first Mobile Suit Gundam science-fiction television anime series and its sequels. The Sunrise anime studio itself had not specified the release format of the project, and Bandai President and CEO Kazunori Ueno said in April that "there are no plans to broadcast [another Gundam] television series in 2009." Odaiba Walker is a special issue of the Tokyo Walker lifestyle magazine.
