Japanese Animation DVD Ranking, September 21-27 (Updated)

Yatterman Tenko-Mori DVD, the deluxe version of Takashi Miike's live-action film adaptation of the Yatterman anime, debuted at #2, while the third DVD-Box for the Korean live-action television drama version of Yōko Kamio's Boys Over Flowers manga debuted at #3. The director's cut of the live-action Saraba Kamen Rider Den-O: Final Countdown film dropped from #9 to #17 in its second week.
The 2002 film Crayon Shin-chan: Arashi wo Yobu Appare! Sengoku Daikassen stayed on the DVD sales chart, thanks to the September 5 opening of Takashi Yamazaki's live-action Ballad: Namonaki Koi no Uta period drama film. Tsuyoshi Kusanagi of the SMAP entertainment group stars in this live-action historical romance based loosely on the plot of the award-winning Crayon Shin-chan film.
Update: Crayon Shin-chan: Arashi wo Yobu Appare! Sengoku Daikassen sold 1,809 copies during the week of September 21-27 to rank at #48. It beat its own previous high of #73, which it reached six years ago on December 8, 2003. Source: animeanime.jp
