Japan's Animation Blu-ray Disc Ranking, July 26-August 1

Bakemonogatari, K-ON!!, Railgun, new Summer Wars BD, Time of Eve debut in top 10

The marketing survey firm Oricon reports that the sixth and final Blu-ray Disc volume of the Bakemonogatari anime series sold 51,000 copies to rank #1 on the sales chart for the July 26-August 1 week. The much-delayed volume sets a television anime record for first-week sales; the previous record-holder was the fourth Bakemonogatari volume, which sold 48,000 copies. Altogether, the six volumes in the series have sold 325,000 copies.
