posted on by Andrew Osmond
The following anime and manga-related events have been announced for the London Comic-Con MCM Expo from Friday May 25 to Sunday May 27. The event will be at the ExCel Centre, ten minutes from Canary Wharf in the London Docklands.
- Dub actors Michael Sinterniklaas (One Piece, Naruto Shippūden) and Stephanie Sheh (Naruto Shippūden, Bleach, K-ON!) will be hosting a Q&A to promote the upcoming release of the anime film Welcome to THE SPACE SHOW, due on DVD/Blu-ray on July 2. (There will be a sneak peek of the new dub.) The actors will also be signing for free on the Manga Entertainment stand.
- Kazé UK and Manga Entertainment will present footage from the new film, Berserk: The Golden Age Arc - The Egg of the King, which was announced for a U.K. release in April. This will be followed by a Q&A with Kazé UK's Andrew Partridge and Michael Sinterniklaas. (It has not been announced yet if Sinterniklaas was involved in dubbing the new film; however, he was responsible for the dub adaptation, direction and editing of the previous television version of Berserk.)
- The Cosplay Masquerade will include the selection of Britain's entrant for the EuroCosplay Championship.
- Playable game demos will include the 3DS version of Kingdom Hearts; the Wii music game Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise; Mario Tennis Open; CAPCOM's RPG Dragon's Dogma; and Tecmo KOEI's Dead Or Alive 5.
