Funimation Previews 'And you thought there is never a girl online?' Anime's Broadcast Dub

Funimation posted a video previewing its broadcast dub of the And you thought there is never a girl online? television anime series on Wednesday. The first dubbed episode premiered on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. EDT as part of Funimation's DubbleTalk block.
The series premiered in Japan on the Tokyo MX channel on April 7. Funimation is already streaming the series with English subtitles as it airs in Japan.
Funimation describes the series, based on the light novels by Shibai Kineko:
After Hideki Nishimura confesses to a girl online, he is shocked when she turns out to be a boy. Traumatized, he swears to never trust any "girl" players. That is, until one confesses to him! Ako Tamaki is a beautiful loner who has trouble differentiating between what's reality and the online world she spends so much of her time in. Can Hideki and his guild friends help fix socially inept Ako?
The anime's main Japanese cast includes:
- Toshiyuki Toyonaga (Durarara!!'s Mikado Ryūgamine) as Hideki Nishimura / Lucian
- Rina Hidaka (Sword Art Online's Silica) as Ako Tamaki / Ako
- Inori Minase (School-Live!'s Yuki Takeya) as Akane Segawa / Schwein
- M.A.O (Overlord's Enri Emmot) as Kyō Goshōin / Apricot
- Hitomi Ohwada (Shirobako's Midori Imai) as Nanako Akiyama/Sette
- Yoshino Nanjō (Love Live!'s Eli Ayase) as Yui Saitō/Nekohime
Shinsuke Yanagi (Ro-Kyu-Bu! SS, Momo Kyun Sword) is directing the anime at project No.9, and Tatsuya Takahashi (The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky) is in charge of series composition. The five-member idol group Luce Twinkle Wink☆ perform the opening theme song "1st Love Story."
