Crunchyroll Adds Rainy Cocoa Seasons 3, 4

posted on by Karen Ressler
Simulcast scheduled for season 4

Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it is streaming Ame-con!! (Ame-iro Cocoa Series: Ame-con!!), the fourth season of the Rainy Cocoa anime, as it airs in Japan. The first episode premiered on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. EDT, and future episodes will stream on Wednesdays at the same time. In addition, Crunchyroll plans to add the third season, Rainy Cocoa in Hawaii, to its catalog.

Both seasons will stream in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Denmark, and Central and South America including the Caribbean.

Crunchyroll describes the third season:

Amami, the owner of the Rainy Color café, assigned Nozomu Tokura as the manager of the new shop in Hawaii. Even though life of Nozomu is increasingly hectic toward the opening, he and his new fellows in Hawaii keep positive and make their efforts trying to get everything down. Can they make it by the date of opening?

The story of the fourth season takes place at the Hawaii coffee shop the characters opened in the third season. The coffee shop is now struggling, so the owner Amami brings back a Shiba Inu named Nana to be their mascot. It turns out Nana has the special ability to sniff out good coffee.

The first Rainy Cocoa anime premiered in April 2015 and the sequel, Rainy Cocoa, Welcome to Rainy Color (Ameiro Cocoa Rainy color e Yōkoso!), premiered in October 2015. The third season premiered last October. Funimation streamed both Rainy Cocoa and Rainy Cocoa, Welcome to Rainy Color as they aired, and the company released both seasons subtitled only on DVD last September.
