The official website for the television anime of Nanatsu Mukunoki's Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita! (An Angel Flew Down to Me!) manga confirmed a new cast member on Sunday. Lynn will play Kōko Matsumoto.

The website also previously listed more staff members. Yūki Nakano is designing the props, and character designer Hiromi Nakagawa is serving as one of the chief animation directors with Mai Matsuura, Nakano, and Chisato Kikunaga. Yukari Yasuda (Olive) is directing the art, and Kei Ishiguro and Masahiro Kure are the color key artists.

Yasushi Kudō is the director of photography, and Kentarou Tsubone (REAL-T) is editing. Takeshi Takadera is directing the sound, and Takurō Iga (Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits-, Tsukigakirei, Fuuka) is composing the music at Flying Dog.

The anime's character song album Tenshi no Utagoe (Angel's Singing Voice) will go on sale on February 27. It will have six songs such as character Hana Shirosaki's "Sugarcoat Dream" and Hinata Hoshino's "Yappari Myaa-nee Number One," as well as these songs' instrumental versions for a total of 12 tracks. Each copy of the album's first pressing will bundle one of five different, randomly distributed character cards. The February album and the April Sound Collection album will also include two proofs-of-purchase needed for a drawing application form. In addition, the anime's five-member WATATEN!☆5 unit will appear at a February 9 event at the Animate Yokohama store to promote the unit's CD release:

The anime is reuniting staff members who worked together on the New Game! anime. Daisuke Hiramaki (episode director for Yuruyuri San Hai!, Shirobako, New Game!) is directing the series at Doga Kobo (Tada Never Falls in Love, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun). Hiromi Nakagawa (chief animation director for Himouto! Umaruchan, Rewrite) is designing the characters, and Yuka Yamada (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, My Sweet Tyrant) is in charge of series composition.

Maria Sashide, Rika Nagae, Akari Kitō, Hitomi Ohwada, and Naomi Ōzora are performing the opening theme song "Kimama na Tenshi-tachi" (Carefree Angels) as the group WATATEN!☆5. The group is also performing the ending theme song "Happy Happy Friends." The single featuring both songs will ship on January 30.

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX on January 8. The series will then also air on Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, TV Q Kyuushuu, and BS11.

Mukunoki launched the manga in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime magazine in 2016, and the publisher released fourth volume on November 15. The fifth volume will ship on January 11.
