Man Charged With Threatening Shoko Nakagawa on Net Forum

Police from Tokyo's Nakano ward filed charges against a male resident in his 20s on Thursday for allegedly threatening entertainer, singer, and actress Shōko Nakagawa.
According to police, the suspect began posting threatening messages on the text board system 5channel (one of a number of successors to the Japanese system 2channel) in June. The messages' poster allegedly named Nakagawa directly while telling her to commit suicide, threatening to kill her, and making similar threats.
Last month, Nakagawa posted on her Twitter account that she had reported the threatening messages to the authorities.
Nakagawa (also known as "Shokotan") is best known as a singer, performing the theme song for such anime as Gurren Lagann, Star Blazers 2199, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Punch Line, and numerous Pokémon films. She has also guest-starred in numerous Pokémon installments.
