R Bruce Elliott Added to Guest List for Derpycon 2025

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (4/30/2025) – R Bruce Elliott will be attending as one of several guests at DerpyCon. He has been a professional actor for decades, working in theatre, film, TV, radio and commercials. He started dubbing voices for anime at Funimation in 2003 and has continued ever since, having performed nearly 220 roles in over 200 anime shows and movies. From his first role as the bumbling detective Richard Moore in Case Closed, he has become known for shows such as Attack on Titan, One Piece, Space Dandy, Fairy Tail, Samurai Seven, Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragon Ball Z Kai (and Super) and Black Butler. He has more recently acted in shows like Star Blazers (originally Space Battleship Yamato), Angels of Death, Chio's School Road, Kikuriyo: Bed and Breakfast for Spirits and Fairy gone.

He can also be heard in movies like Empire of Corpses and Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest, plus numerous video games, including The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, Aeon Flux, Orcs Must Die (1 & 2), Borderlands 2, and thirteen different games in the Dragon Ball Z series as his favorite fearless idiot, Captain Ginyu of the Ginyu Force.

DerpyCon 2025 will be held from October 31st, 2025, to November 2nd, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick, located at 2 Albany St., New Brunswick, NJ 08901.

ABOUT DERPYCON: DerpyCon is a New Jersey-based multi-genre convention that was founded in 2012, which brings anime, gaming, sci-fi, comics, and much more to the northeast United States each October. The convention held its first event in 2014, welcoming more than 700 attendees to Morristown, NJ; since then, the event has more than doubled in size – both attendee wise & space wise – including moving to New Brunswick, NJ in 2021 to continue to grow.
