Anime Boston 2026 Announces Atsushi Abe, Wakana Maruoka, Takanori Matsuoka, and Hiromi Sueta as Guests of Honor

Atsushi Abe, Wakana Maruoka, Takanori Matsuoka, and Hiromi Sueta To Appear at Northeast's Largest Anime Convention 

BOSTON — Anime Boston, the largest anime convention in New England, announced Atsushi Abe, Wakana Maruoka, Takanori Matsuoka, and Hiromi Sueta will be appearing at Anime Boston at the Hynes Convention Center, Boston, Mass, on April 3-5, 2025. 

Born in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, Atsushi Abe is a voice actor affiliated with Ken Production. Notable roles include Touma Kamijou in A Certain Magical Index, the protagonist “I” in Goddess: “What Do You Want to Turn Into When You're Reincarnated in Another World?” Me: “Into a Hero's Rib”, and Sogo Osaka in IDOLiSH7. His forthcoming role is Hiraku Machio, the protagonist of Farming Life in Another World 2, which begins streaming in April 2026.

Wakana Maruoka is a voice actress known for her roles as Gumi Tomosaka in Onegai AiPri, Yuki Suou in Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian, and Rinze Morino in The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors. For the upcoming Petals of Reincarnation (premiering April 2026), she will play the lead role of Haito Luo Buffett. Her appearance at Anime Boston marks her first overseas convention, where she will be participating in a special stage and premiere screening of Petals of Reincarnation.

After Takanori Matsuoka joined Pony Canyon Inc., he soon became part of its anime production division. He has served as a producer on numerous anime projects, including Failure Frame: I Became the Strongest and Annihilated Everything With Low-Level Spells, Loner Life in Another World, Tougen Anki, and Noble Reincarnation: Born Blessed, So I'll Obtain Ultimate Power. He is currently producing Petals of Reincarnation, based on the supernatural action manga by Mikihisa Konishi. Ahead of the series premiere in April, Matsuoka will be making his first appearance at Anime Boston.

Hiromi Sueta is an anime producer in the Anime Production Department at PONY CANYON INC. She has spearheaded numerous popular titles including Farming Life in Another World, This Monster Wants to Eat Me, and 365 Days to the Wedding. Her work on Farming Life in Another World has earned significant acclaim both in Japan and internationally. Hiromi is currently producing the highly anticipated second season of the series.
