I'm just wondering what the deal is with Funimation's releasing of Detective Conan/Case Closed - they seem to be releasing all the episodes after CN stopped airing it (around Episode 55), but not the earlier seasons? Just wondering if someone can clarify this.

I think there was some demand and to jump ahead of the storyline.
Basically from what I understand Funimation has the rights to like 300 something episodes and the movies(?). Are there movies for Detective Conan? I shed no tears when this show was dropped from the Adult Swim lineup. It sounds like a waste of time to me. |

Is this something new from them, no. Is it still stupid, oh hell yes. Not everyone has cable. |

All these little releases... I'm just going to wait and wait until they hopefully get around to releasing box sets. I was foolishly hoping they'd straight up just release box sets... or even just 'half sets' or something...
