Insufficient Direction is great. Admittedly the only other Moyoco Anno material I've come across was the anime series of Hataraki Man (2006) which was wonderful (and also featured a character called 'Shinji' who was a bit pathetic), but Insufficient Direction does make you wonder how true to life it is. I like to imagine it's actually quite realistic.

I definitely want to see this now. But I better sit and read the book. I hope that the film is just as good.
