The original manga is a bit weird but i will give this one a chance nonetheless and Black Jack - Aoki Mirai (aka. old Black Jack by Mr.Parasyte!) needs an OVA adaptation or even a translation.

I really love the manga but I am not going to lie and say the anime is any good. Pinoko creeps me out in the anime.

I'm not digging the character designs on this one. What the hell did they do to him? He looks girly, at least in the picture. I was hoping this would be related to the OVA series and movie since the Black Jack in them was the best incarnation but I guess not. Having said that, the OVA was still a mixed bag with great stories and realism but it also had silly supernatural ones that it could have done without.

But overall, the movie is the best thing related to Black Jack.

More Black Jack is good news! I love the original manga. I wish we could get this manga, and Aoki Mirai, here, too.

Acchonburike!

It's too bad Osamu Dezaki isn't around to direct it. And I don't suppose a younger Black Jack will be played by Akio Ohtsuka, either.

As my friend said, he took one for the team and pimped himself out. They had to make him bishounen to fit in with the younger crowd. I'm just happy Tezuka works are getting more recognition. Even in Japan, there is way too much Ghibli over Tezuka.

I haven't read it, it looks... Like it prioritizes looks over content, which Tezuka's works were all about.
