Haven't read the novels before but I'm looking forward to Jaswant's debut. He looks like the type who can really fight with the way he is designed.

What? Unless I'm reading that last part incorrectly, that's wrong.

Alfried was saved by the artist in episode 12; She already did "debut."

And - unless the writers get their act together very quickly - is becoming a very annoying character. She has so much more potential than being just a love-struck puppy dog.

I wish Alfreed didn't have such a gaudy and obnoxious color scheme. In an anime filled with muted and dark colors, she really sticks out with her bright colors. It makes her look more "anime" than they the other characters (this show is an anime but still, you get my point).

I have to admit these are really nice designs. I may one day have to read HLOA. I've read FMA, but only up to a point. As to whether I'll take in the series...that's another story entirely.

The name Alfried looks a bit like a Spanish fastfood order "one El-fríedo Pollo please"
