Good review but I'd like to touch on the two negatives listed at the end. While this may be a visual downgrade from World, it is still one of the best looking Switch games. I've seen some reviewers even call it the best looking Switch game. So if you already own a Switch or were looking for a reason to own one, the visuals shouldn't stop you from getting this game. As far as accessibility goes: this is my first MH game and I thought it wasn't inaccessible as a newcomer, but I agree I also needed online guides and tutorials. But there a lot of new QOL additions like palamutes and wirebugs, that make it hard to imagine playing a MH game without them.
Really the biggest issue I have with the game at the moment is the endgame, or rather lack off. I'm still playing it but mainly because I started a new file and focussing on weapons I didn't use in my previous playthrough. |
