Ooooh boy this is so exciting! Planet With is one of my favorite series of all time, it'll be great to see more shows based on Satoshi Mizukami's work! Hopefully, we'll also get a Spirit Circle adaptation sometime in the future.

There's a part of me that really shouldn't be excited for this given my cynicisms towards the anime industry. That said I am absolutely ecstatic that this is even happening at all. I liked Planet with perfectly fine and I'm happy that it (perhaps) seemed to help get to the point where we could start seeing Mizukami's manga getting anime adaptations. It's hard for me to pick a favorite between this, Sengoku Youko and Spirit Circle but I've been meaning to revisit Biscuit hammer at some point since it's one of the first manga series I read back in like middle school. Here's hoping it's production goes as smoothly as possible leading to a good end product.

Wow, such an unexpected but much appreciated new ! I don't remember much about the manga but i can still hear myself saying "please make an anime already" after the last volume.

Never in a million years did I think this thing would get an anime. I feel like the manga ended forever ago

Well, that was not the news I expected to wake up to. What's next, Punpun?

That aside, I'm looking forward for it. I only read 10 chapters of the manga but I liked it: perhaps I'll finish it one day.

EDIT: If they're not going to have Biscuit Hammer by The Pillows as the OP, I'll riot though.

I can’t say the staff inspires confidence that this will turn out great.

Hope it turns out decent at least.

This really came out of nowhere and hyped me all up. Hopefully, this becomes the gateway that leads to other mizukami's works getting animated. Even better if we see more old manga without an anime getting one. I'm still waiting for Helck.

I've read some of it once, it was really interesting read, and both Planet With and Spirit Circle were great watch/read respectively, so this is great news indeed.

This is some great news, considering that I've waited over 10 years for this to finally happen - hopefully it serves as a gateway to get Mizukami's other big series animated too, because all of them deserve it.

Now the most important question would be - is Seven Seas finally going to reprint the manga? Some of the prices for the manga volumes have really gotten out of hand...

Apparently Nippon Animation is rumored to be animating this show:

They made an Haikara-san ga Tooru! movie series a few years ago, a Let's Make a Mug Too split 2-cour anime adaptation last year and will be animating Love All Play (alongside OLM) this spring.

I read the scans as they were released, I own the English editions, I love this series. It's an honor just to get my hopes dashed to pieces. But if it's good...

I'm sorry, what? <- is still my only response to this headline.

I think about this manga every time Mizukami's name comes up in the news, followed by, "Shame it never got animated."
