Three possibilities from that image:
1) That is an incredibly sturdy drum
2) Goku is really, really holding back when he hits that thing
3) This photo was taken one second before Goku hit the drum for the first time, completely destroying it.

I certainly hope so.
I wish the man would have gotten the proper respect from American fans when he was alive. He was great and did so much more than Dragon Ball.

I think he was alluding to the fact that none of Yamamoto’s work will be involved.
