Finally a trailer that actually looks like a proper Monster Hunter game - I'm still on the fence about it though after Rise+Sunbreak dumbed down a lot of things. It kind of turned the game into a button-masher rather than anything requiring timing and strategy.
That flying thing that looks like a Gore Magala with lightning bolts also seems like a cool design, the other monsters just read as uglier versions of stuff that's already existed.
It's more likely that I'll watch someone stream the story once and I'll just stick to playing the games I already have unless they really pull something that wows me.

I would not be too worried about it. They are cleary aiming Wilds at the "World" audience of the series. Rise was meant to be an arcady spin-off for a portable console. Wilds is the sixth mainline title of the series, which are usually harder. For example, there is no Wire-Fall in this one, which was the number one reason why everything was so easy in Rise.
