Voice Actors Yuuki Kaji, Wataru Hatano Star in Film

Film based on manga written by Redline's Yoshiki Sakurai to be released this fall

The August issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shōnen Rival magazine released on July 4 announced that voice actors Yūki Kaji (pictured right) and Wataru Hatano (pictured far right) will star in a live-action film adaptation of Yoshiki Sakurai, Team G.V. and Kuroko Yabuguchi's Kami Voice (God Voice) manga.

The film centers around two childhood friends (Kaji and Hatano) whose goal is to become seiyū (voice actors). Kaji has voiced roles in more than 30 anime, including Yozakura Quartet's Akina Hiizumi, Black Butler's Finny, and Durarara!!'s Walker Yumasaki. Hatano has voiced roles in more than 80 anime, including Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu's Yūto Ayase, Basilisk's Chikuma Koshirou, and Yumeria's Tomokazu Mikuri. The film will star other seiyū as well, who will be announced at a later date.

Sakurai (Redline, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society scriptwriter), and Team G.V. wrote the original Kami Voice manga and Yabuguchi (Gimmick!, Nokizaru) provided the artwork. The manga began serialization in Monthly Shōnen Rival earlier this year.

The film is slated to be released this fall.
