Halo Legends Ranks #2 on BD, #4 on DVD in 1st Week

During its first week of sales, Warner Brothers' Japanese-animated Halo Legends anthology ranked at #2 in Blu-Ray Disc sales and at #4 in DVD sales in the United States. The anthology also ranked at #7 in animation Blu-Ray Disc rankings during its first week in Japan.
During its second week of sales in the United States, Halo Legends ranked at #10 for DVD sales, but did not rank in the top 20 for Blu-Ray Disc sales.
The anime studios BONES, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G, Studio 4°C, and Toei Animation produced these side stories about the war between humans and the alien Covenant. The staff includes creative supervisors Shinji Aramaki and Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell); directors Aramaki, Hideki Futamura (The Animatrix), Daisuke Nishio (Dragon Ball Z), Hiroshi Yamazaki (Karas), Toshiyuki Kanno (Black Lagoon), Kōichi Mashimo (Blade of the Immortal) and Kōji Sawai (Patlabor); and directors/action designers Tomoki Kyoda (Eureka Seven, Evangelion 1.0) and Yasushi Muraki (Macross Plus, Vampire Hunter D). Seraphim Studios, the company formed from the assets of A.D. Vision's Amusement Park Media dubbing outfit, produced the English-language soundtrack. Warner Home Video released the North American DVD and Blu-ray Disc versions on February 16.
