News California's Fanime to Host Voice Actor Tohru Furuya

The anime convention FanimeCon announced on Wednesday that it will host Japanese voice actor Tohru Furuya as a Guest of Honor at its May 27-30 event in San Jose, California. Furuya will take part in an unspecified number of panels.
Furuya is a prolific voice actor known for such major roles as the first Mobile Suit Gundam story's Amuro Ray, Sailor Moon's Mamoru Chiba/Tuxedo Mask, Dragon Ball's Yamcha, and Saint Seiya's Pegasus Seiya. In more recent years, he appeared in Mobile Suit Gundam 00 as Ribbons Almark and the Bleach: Jigoku-hen anime film as Shuren.
FanimeCon will also host voice actor and singer Yuya Matsushita, Petit Evangelion designer Ryusuke Hamamoto, Trigun designer Takahiro Yoshimatsu, Fullmetal Alchemist/Gundam 00 director Seiji Mizushima, and Japanese pop band Flow.
