Sony Aims to Sell 16 Million Consoles, 16 Million Portables This Year

In its financial results for the fiscal year that ended on March 31, 2012, Sony reported that it sold 13.9 million PlayStation 3 consoles, 4.1 million PlayStation 2 consoles, and 6.8 million PSP systems. For the year ending on March 31, 2013, it projects that it will sell 16 million consoles (both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2) and 16 million portable units (both PSP and PlayStation Vita).
