Samurai Flamenco's 4th TV Ad Previews Opening Theme

posted on by Karen Ressler
Ending theme song preview also posted for series premiering October 10

The official website for the upcoming anime series Samurai Flamenco began streaming a fourth television ad on Thursday. The video features the show's opening theme song "Just One Life" by SPYAIR.

Also, the official website posted a preview of the series' ending theme song "Date TIME," which is performed by Haruka Tomatsu, M.A.O, and Erii Yamazaki as their fictional idol group Mineral Miracle Muse. The preview can be viewed here.

Fuji TV previously revealed that Takahiro Ōmori (Natsume's Book of Friends, Baccano!, Princess Jellyfish) is directing Samurai Flamenco, while Chinatsu Kurahana (Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 1000%, Aquarion Evol original character designs) is designing the characters. Hideyuki Kurata (Oreimo, Now and Then, Here and There, The World God Only Knows) will handle the series composition, and Yoshimitsu Yamashita (Mushibugyō, Blade of the Immortal, Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~) will adapt Kurahana's character designs for animation. Manglobe (Samurai Champloo, Karneval, Deadman Wonderland) is producing the series.

The story follows Masayoshi Hazama (Toshiki Masuda), a man who becomes a superhero "by himself" without superpowers or technology, and Hidenori Goto (Tomokazu Sugita), a cop who finds out Hazama's true identity and thus constantly gets in trouble thanks to "the superhero." The anime's tagline reads, "To those 'adults' who don't want to become adults..." and "Hero will never give up, never hide, never be defeated, never accept evil."

The series will air for half a year, beginning on October 10. Aniplex of America has licensed the show for streaming and home video release in North America.
