Police in a Pod premieres on August 9, other 2 series later this month

Animax Asia announced on Sunday that it will air the Police in a Pod, Life with an Ordinary Guy Who Reincarnated into a Total Fantasy Knockout, and Gintama this August.

Police in a Pod will premiere on Animax Asia on August 9 at 9:00 p.m. GMT +8, and will air every Monday and Tuesday with double episodes.

The anime premiered in Japan on January 5. Muse Asia streamed the anime as it aired.

The police comedy centers on female police officer Kawai, who had enough of a career she wasn't even that into. She was about to hand in her resignation, when the unthinkable happened — she met the new, female director of her station! And after spending a little time with this gorgeous role model, Kawai realizes that maybe she isn't quite done being an officer after all.

Yūzō Satō (The Gokusen, Kaiji) directed the anime at Madhouse, and Ryunosuke Kingetsu (Ninja Nonsense, Samurai Girls) was in charge of the series scripts. Kei Tsuchiya (Laidbackers, Shōnen Hollywood - Holly Stage for 49) designed the characters.

Life with an Ordinary Guy Who Reincarnated into a Total Fantasy Knockout will premiere on Animax Asia on August 22 at 7:00 p.m. GMT +8, and will air every Monday and Tuesday with double episodes.

The anime premiered in Japan on January 11. Ani-One Asia streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

The manga's story begins when a 32-year-old unpopular salaryman is transported alongside his handsome friend to a fantasy world, due to the whims of a naked goddess. While his friend has been transported without change, the salaryman now has the body of a beautiful girl. To get his male body back, he must go on an adventure with his friend to defeat the world's demon lord.

Sayaka Yamai (episode director for ODDTAXI, Major 2nd) directed the anime at OLM Team Yoshioka. Toshimitsu Takeuchi (Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens, ēlDLIVE) oversaw the series scripts and Aoi Yamato (animation director for ODDTAXI) designed the characters. Toshiki Kameyama (Non Non Biyori, March comes in like a lion) was the sound director at Bit Groove Promotion and Takeshi Watanabe (To Love-Ru, Girls Beyond the Wasteland) composed the music.

Gintama will premiere on Animax Asia on August 26 at 7:00 p.m. GMT +8, and will air four episodes every Friday.

Hideaki Sorachi's Gintama original "science-fiction period-drama comedy" manga began in 2003 and ended in June 2019 with over 55 million copies in circulation. The manga has inspired several television anime series with 367 total episodes, as well as two previous anime films. The latest anime series premiered in July 2018. The manga has also inspired various original video anime (OVA), event anime, two live-action films, and two live-action net spinoffs.

Gintama THE VERY FINAL (Gintama: The Final), the latest anime film of the manga, opened in Japan in January 2021.
