ADV FILMS ANNOUNCES AUGUST 31 RELEASE DATES

AURA BATTLER DUNBINE: INVADERS FROM BYSTON WELL

ADV Films announced a street date of August 31, 2004 for the DVD release of Aura Battler Dunbine: Invaders from Byston Well, the eighth volume in this hit series.

Inspired by the novel Wings of Lin by Yoshiyuki Tomino and adapted by the creators of Gundam and Robotech® comes an epic science-fiction fantasy about love, duty and the tragic spoils of war. Anime fans recognize it as one of the classics from the “golden age” of televised anime.

Realizing that the escalating conflict above threatens Byston Well, the Feeorine use their magic to catapult deadly machines onto the Aura Road causing them to surface on Upper Earth. Now the stage has been set for war to determine the future of Byston Well, a war where the fate of two worlds now hangs in the balance.

Aura Battler Dunbine: Invaders from Byston Well (SRP $19.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release, including four complete episodes in both English 2.0 and Japanese 2.0 language versions with English subtitles. Extras include: production portfolio, clean opening and closing animation and ADV previews.

Collector's Edition Available!

The seventh volume of Aura Battler Dunbine also is available as a Collector's Edition, which includes the Volume 7: Mysteries of Byston Well DVD and a custom series art box sized to fit volumes 7-12 (SRP $24.98).

AZUMANGA DAIOH: FRIENDS!

ADV Films announced an August 31, 2004 street date for the DVD release of Azumanga Daioh: Friends!, the fourth volume in this adorably funny series.

Produced by GENCO (Serial Experiments Lain) and J.C. Staff (Excel Saga), this acclaimed anime series premiered in early 2002 in Japan. ADV Manga released the popular Azumanga Daioh manga series late last year to the delight of anime fans.

Festival season is back! So get ready for a slew of crazy new challenges in the sports fest that wouldn't be complete without an action-packed 10-K race. Tomo is as hyper as ever and dying for excitement, Osaka is just plain scared of dying and Chiyo is scrambling to put together the culture fest. PANYO PANYO DI GI CHARAT: MYA!

ADV Films announced an August 31, 2004 street date for the DVD release of Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat: Mya!, the third volume in this delightfully funny children's series.

This series began with manga artist Kage Donbo drawing the main character, Dejiko, as a small, big-eyed adorable girl. Soon she became the mascot of a popular Japanese retail chain. Today Dejiko's face is probably one of the most recognizable characters ever created in the world of anime.

It's a ghostbustin' good time for Princess Dejiko as she takes on poltergeists, goblins and her arch nemesis Piyoko! ADV Films announced an August 31, 2004 street date for the DVD release of The Super Milk-chan Show: Milk Shake, the second in a hilarious series that mixes animation and live-action!

With animation production by Studio Pierrot (GTO and Saiyuki), it includes both American and Japanese versions in a two-disc set perfect for fans of South Park and Adult Swim.
