Megaman NT Warrior in Latin America

VIZ Media Signs Broadcast Deals for Hit TV Series
in Four New International Markets

San Francisco, CA, May 9, 2005 – VIZ Media, one of the entertainment industry's most innovative and comprehensive manga and animation licensing and publishing companies, has announced today MegaMan NT Warrior, the popular cyber crime fighting show, will begin airing 52 episodes of the hit TV series on four of the strongest terrestrial broadcasters in Latin America. The well-loved children's adventure series will entertain audiences in Brazil on TV Globo, in Mexico on Televisa, in Peru on America TV and in Venezuela on Venevision beginning late spring/early summer 2005.

MegaMan NT Warrior, based on the best-selling MegaMan Battle Network video game from Capcom Co., Ltd., is set in the year 200X, when everyone is connected to the ”NET”. While the invention of the PET (Personal Terminals) and NetNavis (an artificial intelligence program) has brought great benefits to the world, computer hacking, virus spreading, and other high-tech crimes are major problems. A sinister organization called World Three has vowed to take over the NET and rule the world. However, all is not lost, as Lan Hikari, his cyber alter ego MegaMan and their friends thwart the evil machinations of World Three at every turn.

“These Latin America TV deals are a great opportunity to enhance exposure for MegaMan NT Warrior in a rapidly growing part of the world,” said Dan Marks, vice president, international, VIZ Media. “We are excited to build on the success of the Jetix broadcast in Latin America by partnering with these strong terrestrial broadcasters.”

These broadcast partnerships come on the heels of VIZ Media recently announcing a promotional campaign for MegaMan NT Warrior with Frito Lay, targeted to consumers in 23 countries and recent European TV deals with SIC TV in Portugal and Vlaamse Media Maatschappi in Belgium.
