Want to see Comment
Aura Battler Dunbine (TV) I like Tomino's stuff, so I wanna see this..
Cardcaptor Sakura (TV) Had a friend who loved, loved, LOVED this back during the turn of the millenium. It can't hurt to see a few episodes, can it? :/
Dangaioh (OAV) The intro is fun enough, although I've heard some horrible things about its English localization, including it being converted to movie format and a whole episode missing (!!!), or something like that. I wanna see it. :(
Elfen Lied (TV) Had a friend who HATED this series -- basically, she thought it had nothing going for it but shock value, pretty much, and some cat-girl thing... I'd like to see this for myself..
Fist of the North Star (TV) As silly as the movie was, it was certainly entertaining and loveable, with characters who have personality flaws (luckily) to go with their demi-god status. In short, it was a lovely visualization of what it could be like to live after the fall of civilization, as off-the-wall as it was. I'd like to see the slightly less violent TV series (hey, I guess Toei wanted parents off its back after their dealings with Go Nagai complaints back in the '70s? ^^;;) that Akira Kamiya was on while he was voicing Mendou on Urusei Yatsura. I've seen a few clips, including the first OP, and I have a bunch of OST songs from an Italian fan site. Sounds like fun. :D
Howl's Moving Castle (movie) It's Miyazaki. I'm REQUIRED to see this. :)
Kaze to Ki no Uta SANCTUS -Sei naru kana- (OAV)
Mobile Suit Gundam - The Movie Trilogy It's MSG -- I must see this! o_o
Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory (OAV) Same as above. :) Back in my AOL days, people preferred this wholesale over 0080. Now, I wouldn't know which is the better series (I've seen neither series) and I refuse to make initial judgements. I wanna see this. D:
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed (TV) I've heard HORRIBLE things about this series, and it doesn't look or sound appealing. It's the new Gundam Wing, in that it's a remake of MSG, and apparently, according to some Gundam fans, it's not a good one. I still should see this and judge for myself...
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny (TV) I've heard HORRIBLE things about this series, too, but it's so well-known, it'd be pretty much my way of getting back in stride by seeing this. :/ I mean, last newest show I've seen was Samurai Champloo (my brother rented vols. 1 and 2), and before that... Big O on CN. I mean, really -- I'm behind :(
Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack (movie) It's MSG. I must see this! o_o
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam (TV) I've heard many great things about this sequel to MSG. I love the OPs themselves. The show itself must be AWESOME. o_o
My Neighbor Totoro (movie) It's Miyazaki. I remember seeing commercials for this back during the early 1990s. I wanna see this..
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (movie) This is Miyazaki's first post-Lupin film, right? Looks great. I hope to see this someday.
Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV) I've personally seen the first two episodes with a friend, and were it not for YouTube commenters on the Be Invoked pages, this series wouldn't feel (or be -- not EVERYONE has seen End of Evangelion, you JERKS! ><) RUINED for me, somehow.. But that's what I get, I guess... :/ I still wanna see this series. Even after 12 years, there's still plenty of hype. It has to have SOME merit. :) (It's funny -- most people look into Ideon after watching Evangelion -- I'm doing the complete opposite. Irony, much?)
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth (movie) The Ideon: A Contact of 1997? :D
Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion (movie) Be Invoked of the 1990s? It could be, though I hear many people actually hate the ending of this one. Looks great, though. I hope to see it someday :)
Ranma ½ (TV) The comedy series of the early 1990s, from what I hear. Back when Sailor Moon was first popular in the states, this was the show you would hear constantly name-dropped and referenced everywhere. :/ I totally missed out on the hype. Looks silly in an annoying way, but I still should see it, right? RIGHT..?
Sailor Moon R: The Movie
Sailor Moon SuperS: The Movie
Serial Experiments Lain (TV) The headache-inducing series of the turn of the millenium, this was the show everyone thought was "really deep" and complicated. :/ I missed out on this, but I'd like to see it. I really like the OP. :)
Tobira o Akete (movie)
Toward the Terra (movie)
Urusei Yatsura: Lum The Forever (movie 4) I hear this is that one inscrutable, incomprehensible Lum movie that may make or break a Urusei Yatsura fan. You either like this film or you don't. Strangest thing about this movie, I hear, is its plot -- because some mysterious tree is knocked down, Lum loses her powers and all other sorts of hell that I conveniently don't remember for the moment (><) break loose. And Mamoru Oshii of GiTS fame (king of Movies That Make Little Sense Upon First Viewings) didn't direct this! How about that..? I wanna see it o_o
Urusei Yatsura: Remember My Love (movie 3) Sounds like the least appealing Urusei Yatsura movie out of the five (we all know why the sixth one REALLY exists, right? It should hardly count...) I should still see it, I guess..
(The) Vision of Escaflowne (TV) The show that was liked for many, many reasons: there're the shoujo elements (revolves around a NORMAL girl, handsome men...), there's the weird character design, there's the token Kefka (Ha, ha :D), there's Yoko Kanno, and then, there's the mechanical design by Shoji Kawamori himself. Yay. I should see this now, I guess :D
